Plumo challenges

Is there something we should do during our trip? Do you have a challenge we should complete? Here is the place to make your suggestion. We will add the approved challenges to the page and try to complete them during the ride. Almost any challenge is acceptable (e.g. take a picture of Plumo riding with a french biker).

Disclaimer: no sex related challenges. Daniel will not kiss a girl from every country we go through… he is not nearly that bold.

1. Count the flaggers

Challenge: Count the number of people that ask about the flag.
Result:18 flaggers, 9 of them in France. The effect of the flag is hard to quantify. A lot of people approached me and talked to me but were no “flaggers” because they didn’t ask for my country. Still I think the flag made it easier for them to approach me. I think it made people more friendly to me. It was definitely a very good idea.

2. Stereotypes

Challenge: Take a picture of a man and a woman representing each country.
Not so easy… what represents a country? Each country may have more than one stereotype, maybe the stereotype is not even real… we’ll ask the locals for advice on this one. (Suggested by Ufirus)

Germany
A couple I found at 7am wandering in the forest. The hats are real, they really dress like that.

3. Fellow pairs

Challenge: Find a pair with a similar relationship to Daniel-Plumonito.
Hmmm, our relationship is special, there is nothing like it But maybe someone has a similar travel partner along the way. We’ll keep an eye open for them. (suggested by Ange)
We found 2 odd couples. First a couchsurfer in Belfort that insisted on being photographed with his dog, though he had no special story to tell:

Then Beate in Austria who carries a small metal ball during her long trips. The metal ball makes a soft clinging sound when moved and that reminds her of her son. I found it to be a cool idea, Plumo is visual, her ball is accoustic:
